Some Words from the Proprietor . . .
Known and loved throughout the world (it says here), The Bold Strummer Ltd. was founded by Nicholas and Mary Clarke in 1973 and has been going strong ever since, publishing books about the guitar and related subjects for over 30 years and rescuing other titles from oblivion by re-issuing them under the Bold Strummer banner.

We are also the agent for the PRO AM list of scholarly books on music, and in addition are pleased to have recently become the exclusive distributor of PJN Guitar Publications, featuring Jared Newman’s arrangements as well as a variety of classical and flamenco guitar titles.

Our company remains a ‘family affair’ and we do the best we can to ship all orders within 48 hours. Once in a while a book will be out of stock or otherwise unavailable, and sometimes, heaven forbid, we have to raise the price of an item (my children may need new shoes); if that happens we will let you know before shipping.

The cartoons that you see scattered throughout the catalog are from Nicholas Clarke’s THE WELL TEMPERED GUITAR, returning soon by popular demand. (Well, my kids like it)
